The 2015 Vrai Canon Bouché is pliant and silky on the palate, showing gorgeous depth and plenty of aromatic nuance from the Cabernet Franc in the blend. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, spice, leather and tobacco all run through this racy, sumptuous Canon Fronsac. This is a terrific wine for the appellation. The blend is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc.
Medium to deep garnet in color, the 2015 Vrai Canon Bouché has an earthy/meaty nose with dried berries and baked plums notes plus a waft of tapenade. The medium to full-bodied palate is firm and chewy with restrained fruit and a fresh finish.
Big, exotic notes of white truffle, flowers, spices and assorted mostly red fruits emerge from the 2015 Château Vrai Canon Bouche. This is followed by a medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure, silky Fronsac that’s already hard to resist, yet should keep for 10-15 years.
