Score 90/100 · Drink 2013-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2013
The 2008 Brunello di Montalcino is a fairly straightforward wine with lovely immediacy. A mid-weight, gracious wine, the 2008 is laced with attractive scents of sweet red cherries, tobacco, spices and leather. The 2008 is a good choice for drinking while some of the estate's more important recent wines remain in the cellar. Overall, this is a fairly soft, approachable Brunello from Colleoni.

A dense and layered red with cherry and cocoa powder character. Full body, with very integrated tannins and a long and flavorful finish. This is a 2008 Brunello with depth and class. Wow. New winery for me. Well done.
