Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with lively acids and a bright, saline finish, this is a controlled rendition of a site that can often produce rather rich wines.

The 2019 Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru has a somewhat sedate bouquet of apricot and yellow plum, perhaps just needing a little more Meursault character. The palate is balanced with well-integrated oak, and slightly waxy, almost oily in texture, leading to a lively lime and lemon zest finish that reveals clementine notes on the aftertaste. Pretty more than profound.
