Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2035, Jeb Dunnuck, May 2023

Elegant and spicy, the 2019 Barbaresco Bassarin is delicate with anise, grenadine, and cracked pepper. It is perfumed through the palate with a medium frame, ripe red cherry fruit, good concentration, and roses. It has fine tannins and a bit of warmth on the finish, and it is clean and well-balanced with orange peel and clove. Drink over the next 10-12 years.

Neive. Mid ruby. Balsamic, cool and concentrated nose. Plentiful red ripe fruit of great focus on the palate. Youthful fruit sweetness and polished but firm tannins. Long generous juicy fruit on a balanced finish. (WS)
