The 2018 Marquis de Mons is a Margaux estate that I am unfamiliar with. This has a soft bouquet of red summer fruit, red plum and punnets of strawberries, maybe in need of a little more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, well balanced and showing fine elegance. This is definitely one of the more approachable Margaux wines of this vintage, displaying a breezy nonchalance toward the finish. This is well crafted, though I would not cellar it long-term.
