The 2019 Etna Rosso Contrada Dafara Galluzzo opens with a dusty and spicy bouquet, blending ashen stone with dried strawberries and smoke. This is sleek and wiry in feel, with crisp red fruits and savory mineral tones that saturate under an air of rosy inner florals. Grippy tannins come forward through the finale, as the 2019 finishes structured and long with a red-berry-herbal tea note that I find quite attractive.
