Heidi and Bo Barrett’s 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is fabulous. It offers a compelling interplay of Calistoga richness and the natural energy of the vintage. Sweet dark cherry, plum, spice, cedar, tobacco, licorice, mocha and gravel infuse the 2016 with so much character. The 2016 is deep, but not at all heavy. (AG)

The deeply-hued 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon has a great nose of ripe black fruits, damp earth, iron, vanilla, and unsmoked tobacco. It's brilliantly textured, full-bodied, shows the awesome purity of fruit that’s common in the vintage, and has terrific tannins. This ripe yet sexy and classic Napa Valley Cabernet can be drunk today or cellared for two decades or more.
