Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2025-2032, Neal Martin, Nov 2024

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Champeaux 1er Cru has a refined bouquet that demands several swirls of the glass to open, perhaps not quite delivering the mineralité of other cuvées at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied, open and approachable, with finely spun tannins and a keen line of acidity. It just needs a little more substance on the finish. Very fine.
