Tasting notes
One of my favorite vintages for this cuvée, the 1990 Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde boasts a ruby hue as well as killer kirsch liqueur and darker berry fruits intermixed with olive, smoked game, and assorted meaty aromas and flavors. Perfectly balanced, seamless, and straight-up sexy, this magical Côte Blonde is ready to go and I’d wager best drunk up, but what a beautiful bottle.

Dark crimson. Light but attractive and well-balanced leathery nose. Scented and seductive. Sweet start and really fresh and exciting. Sweet and scented and charming. Long and juicy. Real lift. Lovely to drink now. (JR)
The 1990 Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde was singing! Loaded with notions of cassis, kirsch liqueur and blackberry fruit, it developed additional olive, game and meatiness in the glass. Full-bodied, layered and seamless, with perfect balance, this is as sexy and seamless as they come. Fully mature, drink it over the coming 5-7 years.
