Tasting notes
Cask sample. Dark-berry fruit. Lots of concentration on the palate with persistence and very crunchy dark cherry providing extra bite of acidity. A lovely combination which has both sweetness and a structure provided by oak and tannins. Long aftertaste. Top example of premier cru Fixin. Expensive but fair value in the premier cru Côte d’Or environment. (AWH)

The 2022 Fixin 1er Cru Les Arvelets delivers aromas of orange zest, peonies, sweet berries, smoke and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and layered palate that's elegant and perfumed, concluding with a floral finish. It's a lovely wine that will offer a broad drinking window.
Just 25 hl/ha owing to hail in 2022. 50% whole clusters, 30% new oak. Tank sample. Mid-pale ruby. Lovely nose, refined and aromatic. Nose of cherries and raspberries. Same on the palate, red cherries, raspberries with cassis adding nuance and depth. Great balance between elegant sweet fruit and refined but brisk acidity. A touch of vanilla spice fills out the finish. (MH)
