The 2019 Marsannay Boivin offers up aromas of raspberries and plums mingled with licorice and woodsmoke. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, it's a pretty, seamless wine that's one of the most charming Marsannay bottlings in the range this year.

Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Neal Martin, Dec 2020

The 2019 Marsannay Boivin has an overtly floral bouquet with gushing bunches of violets mixed with black cherries and cassis. The palate is medium-bodied with a toasty opening, quite plush and audacious in style, and layers of pain grillé –tinged black fruit on the finish. Fine length here, but it needs time.
