A very good Sauternes that shows density and richness, with aromas of marmalade, sweet sea buckthorn, honeyed apricots, cream and wax. Lightly oily and unctuous, with an almost full body and a long, integrated finish. A hint of jack fruit at the end. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Raymond-Lafon was showing a bit of reduction on the nose when I tasted it, though the fruit seems to be pure and well-defined. The palate is lively on the entry thanks to a firm bead of acidity, although I am seeking more viscosity and complexity on the finish. This is not bad, but a bottle at the château tasted later that same day showed a little more nervosité . Promising.
