Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2023-2032, Neal Martin, Jan 2023
The 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Marconnets 1er Cru is Vougeraie's sole representative from the appellation this year. It offers light brambly fruit on the nose, though it needs a bit more concentration and feels just a bit diluted. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, dark berries and black pepper, a bit angular towards the finish with modest length. Just a bit gawky.
