Tasting notes
The 2022 Moulin-à-Vent Clos du Moulin-à-Vent has a perfumed bouquet with violet- and incense-tinged blue fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a grainy texture and moderate depth. It's quite structured toward the finish with a touch of graphite on the aftertaste. Fine.

A monopole abutting the famous Moulin itself. 10,000 plants per hectare spread over 90 ares (2.2 acres). Well-drained granite soil. 100% destemmed fruit, fermented in concrete and aged for 18 months in burgundian 228-litre barrels (10% new). Very deep ruby. Evidently concentrated. Fine, powdery tannins. Nothing rough about this and lots of complexity. The finish is long with real freshness at the end. Definitely an impressive number. (MH)
