Score 89/100 · Drink 2002-2010, Robert Parker, Apr 2002
Although this 1999 reveals plenty of new oak, there is a lot going on in the mouth. The wine offers attractive tobacco, herb, black cherry, and currant fruit, superb purity, medium body, and finesse, elegance, and sweetness (rather than power and size). It will drink well for 7-8 years.
