Tasting notes
Jewel-bright pale garnet. Low-key nose with distinctly sweet fruit underneath and a lightly gamey note. Solid, substantial and rather incommunicative at the moment. Needs real attention to read this wine which has quite a register of grainy tannins on the end. Long, like its stablemates. (JR)

The 2022 Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets bursts with aromas of sweet red berries, cherries, rose petals, violets and spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and ethereal, with a pure core of fruit, powdery tannins and a long, mouthwateringly mineral finish, it returns to the range in style after suffering in the frosts of 2021.
