Tasted blind in a comparison of champagne and English sparkling wine. 100% Pinot Noir. Strictly speaking, a non-vintage wine as some reserve wines are included, but based on 2015. Pale amber colour. Simple sweet, spicy note on the nose. Something a bit ginger beery. Not very sophisticated. Then austere. Hard work. (Very disappointing showing compared with my tasting in February .) (JR)

From a 2.5 ha vineyard of 50-year-old Pinot Noir. Disgorged March 2019. Big and bold on the nose with a winning, vaguely honeyed palate but notes of lime zest on the finish. Dosage 2.4 g/l. (JR)
