The 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino pours a dark red brick color and is expressive with layered aromas of baked cherries, leather, truffle, crushed flowers, and licorice. It's beautifully detailed on the palate, with ultra-fine tannins, a silky texture, wonderfully pure fruit, and a clean, tapering finish with a salty flourish. Very pretty all the way through, it's going to have a wide drinking window and should improve over the coming 10-12 years.

The 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino is supple and ripe with aromas of candied cherries, mocha, crushed flowers, and sweet earth. It pours a garnet color and shows some richness, leaning a touch toward developing sooner. Medium-bodied and approachable, with ripe tannins, good balance, and a delicate savory note of tea leaf on the finish, it offers more immediacy and should drink well over the next 8-10 years.

The 2020 Brunello di Montalcino has minty medicinal notes, saddle leather, and red currant on the nose. The tannins are quite smooth, with a gliding acidity and a medium-full body. It tastes a bit advanced with dried fruit notes on the finish for a wine of this youthfulness, and ready to drink.

You'll recognize this wine by its classy packaging that features a red wax seal on the front label. The Mastrojanni 2020 Brunello di Montalcino is a little shy initially. A few more years, even months, of bottle age should get it to shine. The bouquet is detailed and precise with small forest fruits, dried rose, earth and light spice. It pieces together well over a bright, medium-weight mouthfeel. Production is 74,000 bottles.
