Tasting notes
The 2020 Pauillac is superb. The aromatics alone are compelling. Lavender, sage, menthol, black pepper and licorice all jump from the glass. This just screams with Cabernet character. Dark, vibrant and super-expressive, the 2020 is an absolute delight. Its vibrancy and delineation are both admirable. What a gorgeous, gorgeous wine this is.

The 2020 Pauillac de Latour is very delineated and focused on the nose, unfolding with graphite-infused black fruit, melted tar and light flor scents. The oak is beautifully integrated here. The palate is medium bodied with succulent ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit and veins of cassis, luscious and precocious toward the finish. This is one of the mo seductive Pauillac wines. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
The 2020 Le Pauillac de Chateau Latour is a blend of 53% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs some coaxing to reveal delicate notes of redcurrants, wild blueberries, and crushed plums, plus hints of bay leaves, tree bark, and cracked black pepper. The medium-bodied palate is bright, lively, and energetic, with a grainy texture and minerally finish.
Deep, fresh, and loaded with currants, orange rind, cocoa, smoke, and blackberries, with tension, chalky tannins, and red currants in the finish. If you enjoy your Pauillac on the young side, this has just entered the start of its drinking window
