More serious than the white Les Hautés and it will doubtless have a longer life. Sweet and long. Impressive for the money! VGV (JR)

The 2023 Auxey-Duresses Climat du Val 1er Cru has a pleasing, slightly rustic bouquet with brambly red fruit, autumn leaves and a touch of vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins. Dark berry fruit commingles with black tea and bay leaf and it finishes just a little austere.
