Tasting notes
Lemongrass, sandalwood aromas, and this glorious flare of glistening flavour, acidity spinning silver cobwebs through dewdrops of citrus purity. A wine that glimmers on the threshold, a pause, and then tumbles in like a wave, bringing salinity, stones and breadth. Sour-cream curves and swathes. Muscle and chew. (TC)

The 2023 Corton-Vergennes Grand Cru is probably the most impressive on the nose amongst Chanson's whites. There is more terroir expression here, more mineralité , with scents of fresh pear, white peaches and a touch of yellow flowers. The palate is well balanced with a keen thread of acidity, satisfying weight and a dash of spice that enhances the finish. It is nothing spectacular, but there is a quality white Corton here.
