Score 92+/100 · Drink 2027-2040, Neal Martin, Jun 2025

The 2023 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru has a Puligny-like bouquet, quite strict and more malic than expected, probably requiring more time to open in the glass. The palate is well balanced and fresh with a fine bead of acidity, light wild peach and apricot notes and a commendable complexity on the nuanced finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle to allow the aromatics to open.
