Tasting notes
Aromas of Granny Smith apple, white flowers and peach, mingled with notes of lemon confit, introduce Picq’s 2023 Chablis, a medium-bodied, fleshy and charming wine that is bright and harmonious, with tangy acids and a chalky finish, though it lacks some of the persistence found in his other bottlings this year.

Organic farming. Pure, tense, restrained citrus but more marked by crushed stones than fruit. Pure, light-bodied, with a chalky finish. Relatively GV . (JH)
The 2023 Chablis Village was assembled for my visit by Didier Picq from 10 vats. It has an attractive if light bouquet with apple blossom and fresh pear aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a little creaminess towards the finish. This will drink well for 4-6 years.
