Just a little raw on the nose. And very grated on the palate! Bone-dry finish and a little hard. (JR)

The 2023 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge Fontaine St Martin has a little more ripeness and exoticism than the Au Vallon, with notes of kirsch and maraschino cherries, though it retains decent freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with a saccharine entry. It is a little tough on the mid-palate at the moment, but it should soften with time.
