Note: 50% is from Les Combes with the rest from Pitangerets, En Créots and Les Perrières. A more floral but also mildly oakier nose reflects notes poached pear and mineral reduction. The equally round and fleshy, indeed almost creamy, middle weight flavors also exude a subtle minerality on the bone-dry finish that is borderline tart though this does not seem to compromise the length. I'm not entirely certain how this will turn out though my projected range assumes the finish will better harmonize if given a couple of years in a cool cellar.

The 2023 Saint-Aubin Hommage à Marguerite 1er Cru, a blend of Combe, Perrières and Craillot, is delightful, fresh and saline with subtle notes of sea spray and white peaches. The palate is well balanced with a tangy opening, and lively peach nuances develop toward the finish. This is harmonious and quite irresistible already. Recommended.(NM)

The 2023 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Hommage à Marguerite is fleshy and charming, bursting with aromas of pear, buttered toast and sweet citrus fruit, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate with a satiny attack and a saline finish. This will offer a broad drinking window.

From three separate premiers crus: Les Combes, En Créot and Les Perrières. Cask sample. Mid lemon. Lemon, apple and pear on the nose. Mouth-watering acidity giving this laser-like focus. Medium body, mineral and long. (MH)
