Tasting notes
There is a touch of phenolic character (think olive oil nuances) to the ripe and nicely layered aromas of petrol, white orchard fruit and citrus confit. There is both more volume and richness to the utterly delicious medium weight flavors that retain excellent punch that carries over to the seductive, clean and refreshing finale. This is an excellent Chassagne villages and worth your consideration plus it should age well over the mid-term.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Village has a refined bouquet, understated at first, opening with Granny Smiths and light flinty scents. The palate is fresh and poised with fine depth, crisp and citric, with orange rind revealing hints of stem ginger toward the finish. Maybe not quite as persistent as others, but I can imagine demolishing this with some fruits de mer.(NM)
The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is attractive, offering up aromas of honeyed peaches, nutmeg and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, generous and textural palate with a satiny, seamless profile.
From vines near Morgeot on clay soils. Cask sample. Mid lemon. Just a touch of reduction on the nose. Ripe fruit and lots of tension. Not a classically heavyweight Chassagne, quite nerveux . (MH)
