Tasting notes
The 2023 Echezeaux Grand Cru offers up aromas of sweet jammy berries, plums and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and ample palate that's supple and charming, with an open, giving profile and built around succulent acids and soft, melting tannins.

The 2023 Echézeaux Grand Cru comes from the usual two parcels (farmed by their cousin Pascal Mugneret), and matured in 60% new oak. It has a gorgeous, pure bouquet, perhaps the most floral of the Domaine's nascent 2023s, as the 25% whole bunches impart a slight pepperiness. The palate is medium-bodied with wonderful poise and elegance, filigree tannins and real transparency on the finish. This will put on a bit of weight by the time of bottling. Excellent.
