Another soft, ample white is the 2023 Meursault Village, a medium-bodied, fleshy and open-knit effort redolent of pear, green apple and hazelnuts.

From three parcels of vines all planted towards Volnay around the Santenots vineyard: En Gargouillot, Vigne Blanche and En Marcausse. Picked 7 and 9 September. Cask sample. Mid lemon. Dry but with quite sweet, mature fruit, rich apple and pear. Medium- to full-bodied. Concise and compact. (MH)

The 2023 Meursault Village comes from two parcels. This has decent lift on the nose with white flowers and light leesy scents. The palate is well balanced with a rounded texture (a bit like a "mini-Charmes") that dovetails into a spicy, stem ginger-tinged finish. Drink over the next five or six years.
