Tasting notes
The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a simple, light, slightly rustic bouquet that just needs more fruit intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red fruit and a core of candied orange peel but overall it just feels a little disjointed compared to other recent vintages. There's a question mark for me here.

Pretty aromas of berries, plums and cherries mingled with hints of vine smoke introduce Mugnier's 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Village, a medium-bodied, soft and fleshy wine that's supple and giving, concluding with a sapid, discreetly carnal finish.
Racked October. Cask sample. Bright pale ruby. Red cherry, redcurrants and rose. Very floral and light on the palate. Fragrant and charming with lively acidity. Modest, well-knit tannins. (MH)
The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Village is the usual blend of two parcels, including the Premier Cru of Les Plantes. It has an open, transparent nose with light red cherry notes, but it just misses a bit of bandwidth. The palate is medium-bodied with a mushroomy opening. This is lightly spiced with a loose-knit finish. I'm not quite convinced about this.
