Cask sample. Honeyed citrus draws you in. Ripe yet fresh fruit. Spiced citrus, power and length. A big, sour-fresh wine that needs a little longer in barrel to bring more refinement. Very long. (JH)

The 2023 Meursault Les Grands Charrons has a composed bouquet with citrus fruit, lime and light wilted white flower scents that unfold gently in the glass. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and hints of white pepper, quite linear and Puligny-like in style. Perhaps it stops just short of the finish line on the close, but still, it will give several years' drinking pleasure.
