2023 Puligny Montrachet Le Trezin

The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet le Trezin comes from poor marl soils that tend to produce later-ripening berries. Like the Enseignières, it has a marine-influenced bouquet with hints of wet clay joining the malic aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. It's open and generous toward the finish with veins of orange rind and allspice. It may just lack a bit of sustain, but the freshness is evident throughout this Puligny.
