Tasting notes
The 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru is the last year the Dugat family produced wine from this parcel, and it is likely that they will reserve the swan song vintage for personal consumption. It's a terrific note upon which to end, offering up aromas of blackberries and cassis mingled with smoke and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and textural palate that's bright and precise.

The 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru will be the last vintage by Dugat as the vineyard has been purchased by an investor (I believe Duroché will take over farming this parcel). It goes out in style under Dugat's aegis. Boasting wonderful delineation on the nose, this has much more mineralité and tension compared to the Charmes-Chambertin at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins, a satiny texture, lightly spiced red fruit and a seductive, harmonious finish. Bon vin .
