Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2028-2050, Neal Martin, Nov 2024

The 2023 Chambertin Grand Cru includes 50% whole cluster this year. It has a well-defined bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, certainly the most mineral-driven of Camille Giroud's reds. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins, quite firm and structured. It is weighty with a sapid, slightly introspective finish, suggesting that three or four years will benefit this wine. One to watch.
