Cask sample. Mid to deep crimson. Distinctive peppery dark-red-fruit aroma with a hint of celery salt. Firm, chewy but smooth and polished tannins. Such lovely fruit. (JH)

The 2023 Givry A Vigne Rouge is more backward and earthy on the nose, yet it retains delineation and poise, light graphite scents percolating through the dark fruit with time. Quite Pommard-like. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry, fine balance and good weight. Again, it is quite Pommard-like, with satisfying grip on the finish. It's just missing a bit of aftertaste, but otherwise, a well-crafted Givry.
