Score 97-99/100 · Drink 2030-2070, Neal Martin, Oct 2024

The 2023 Montrachet Grand Cru, which comes from his father's parcel split between brothers Pierre-Yves and Joseph, was matured in a single one-year-old barrel. With cold, wet limestone on the nose, this sublimely articulates the terroir. It is beautifully defined, with a surfeit of primal energy. The palate has balletic balance, pierced with a sharp bead of acidity. This is power and elegance combined. It has just a touch of spice and wonderful poise toward the finish, where it fans out effortlessly. This is mesmerizing.
