The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras wafts from the glass with a rich bouquet of wild berries, violets, exotic spices and baking chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, suave and layered, it's ripe but balanced, with sweet structuring tannins and a mineral finish.
Cask sample. Mid ruby. Red fruits, red cherries and redcurrants. Quite supple and open with high-toned acidity. Some undergrowth burgundian complexity too. (MH)
The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras 1er Cru has a mineral-laden bouquet that suffuses its effervescent black fruit. There is plenty of energy here. The palate is very harmonious on the entry, a little crunchy in texture and more saline than the Les Combottes with a long, slightly peppery finish courtesy of the 70% whole bunch. Excellent.
