Tasting notes
The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Grandes Ruchottes is strikingly good, unwinding in the glass with notes of peach and pear mingled with hints of orange oil, iodine and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and multidimensional, with a dense, structured core of fruit, bright acids and a long, chalky finish.

Cask sample. Mid lemon. A note of reduction. Apple, lemon and pear. Not a heavyweight. Medium body, with a lofty, fresh finish. Persistent to the long mineral finish. (MH)
The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet La Grande Ruchottes 1er Cru has a thrilling nose: animated crushed stone, sliced green apple and citrus peel scents burst from the glass, more powerful than the La Grande Montagne. The palate is well balanced with superb weight and just a little extract, as a resonance of citrus peel mixed with a touch of ginger prolongs the finish. There is so much energy locked into the Chassagne-Montrachet.
