From Planchots and Les Vermots. Planchots would be heavy on its own but supports the lively Vermots fruit. Indeed, the latter takes the upper hand in character with a lively crisp Braeburn apple fruit on top of a more solid bench of white fruit, with good acidity overall and a long finish.

The 2023 Savigny-lès-Beaune Blanc has a clean, fresh bouquet with yellow plum, citrus peel and light stony scents. The palate had a little gas on the entry, but there is a fine spine of acidity with a lovely, slightly honeyed texture. Stem ginger enlivens the finish. Drink this over the next six to eight years.
