The 2023 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Jarrons 1er Cru has a dense and more backward nose than the Vergelesses—darker fruit, a little sullen at the moment. The palate is more open with finely chiseled tannins, a bright bead of acidity and a concentrated, thick-textured finish. This will require three or four years in bottle.

Another rich purple colour, with plenty of fruit energy, mostly in raspberry mode, then firm behind while waiting for the tannins to soften, as they will.
