The 2023 Meursault Poruzot 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet with orange blossom, citrus peel, grilled walnut and a touch of smoke. There is very good complexity here. Forward and open in style, the palate is well balanced with a tangy entry, fine acidity and a slightly richer finish than expected. This is a thoroughly enjoyable Meursault that will be difficult to resist in its youth. Readers should note that this will be the final vintage for this cuvée.
Pale lemon and lime, this is elegant for the vineyard, still with the expected structure behind and a racy energy at the back. Not as full as some on the first half of the palate but the finish will satisfy.

Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest and most established wine producers. Founded in 1731 by Michel Bouchard, it is the largest vineyard owner in the Côte d’Or with 130 hectares of vines.
