Score 92/100 · Drink 2021-2035, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2019
The recently bottled 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru was showing well, wafting from the glass with aromas of pears, flowers and honeycomb that are framed by spicy new oak. On the palate, it's full-bodied, deep and layered, with chalky structure and lively acids. As I mentioned last year, I'd love to see some more used barrels employed for the maturation of this cuvée, but the 2017 is already less marked by new oak than the 2016 rendition at the same age.
