The 2018 Barbaresco Asili offers a dark, virile expression of this site, as it always does. Succulent black cherry, leather, tobacco, spice and menthol open over time, with big, potent tannins that wrap it all together. This is an especially voluptuous Asili Barbaresco.

Barbaresco. Tasted blind. Mid to deep developed ruby with bright orange tinges. Ripe cherry with notes of gingerbread and a hint of old leather. Multi-layered nose. Juicy palate with ripe fruit and finely ground, captivating tannins. Generous fruit on the finish and completely ready now. (WS)
