Score 96/100 · Drink 2015-2037, Mark Squires, Oct 2015

The 2007 Tinto, part of this issue's vertical, is a fine cross between the 2005 and the 2006 in the vertical. It is more elegant and better balanced than the 2005, but more concentrated than the 2006. It pretty much puts it all together. Showing fine power and depth, the fruit here is delineated perfectly. Fresh and vibrant, this still has a long way to go, but it is surprisingly accessible and open now, even if nowhere near peak. It seems quite brilliant.
