Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2017-2023, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015
The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru is the usual blend of Frionnes, Sous la Roche Dumay and Champlots. Matured with a judicious 10% new oak, it has a clean and precise bouquet that gently lifts from the glass: Morello cherry mixed with cranberry leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannin on the entry. This is nicely balanced, harmonious with fine mineralité surfacing towards the finish. This is worth checking out.
