Cask sample. Mid crimson. Much more intense on the nose than the premiers crus. Nicely balanced with real integrity and great fruit/tannin/acid balance. This is pure, satisfying Clos de Vougeot with a future and great life to it. Real energy! (JR)

Returning after an absence of a few years, the 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is 50% whole bunch. Despite a touch of reduction, there is good concentration here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, good matière here with a grippy but delineated finish. This will need several years in bottle but it should come good in the end.
