2022 Volnay

The 2022 Volnay Village offers up aromas of cassis, cherries, rose petals and baking chocolate, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and textural palate with good density and structure. It's the usual blend combining holdings in the rich, clay soils of lieux-dits Poisots, Famines and Cros Martin—which bring fat and flesh—with the thinner, whiter soils of Ez Blanches above the Clos de Chênes—that lend the wine its tension and relief.
