Tasting notes
Based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Château Petit Faurie De Soutard is a medium-bodied, pretty, elegant Saint-Emilion that has a core of darker raspberry, spring flower, and sappy herb like aromatics, nicely integrated oak, and fine, polished tannins. I think it's clearly an outstanding wine. It should benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and drink nicely over the following decade.

The 2021 Petit Faurie de Soutard is a potent, muscular wine. Hard contours and angular lines are impossible to miss. Dark fruit, menthol, licorice, spice, scorched earth, tobacco, dried herbs and incense add to an impression of burliness.
Offering up aromas of cherries, raspberries, licorice and petals, the 2021 Petit Faurie de Soutard is medium-bodied, ample and layered, with good depth at the core, integrated acids and sweet tannins, concluding with a mouthwateringly mineral finish. This attractive middleweight will take on more depth with bottle age.
Fresh cherries, cassis, paprika and a touch of cocoa powder. Elegant and crisp on the palate with soft tannins loaded with tart berries. Subtle, linear finish of good length. Not intense but really fresh, elegant and zippy. Drink now.
