Tasted blind. Light and occluded on the nose. Very simple and not really trying. Austere finish after not enough fruit in the middle. (JR)

The dark ruby/purple-tinged, juicy 2011 Domaine de l’Eglise offers up black currant, black cherry, incense and floral notes. Medium-bodied with good fruit and soft tannins, it is best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
