Score 16.5+/20 · Jancis Robinson MW, Dec 2024
One-third new oak. 20% whole bunch. Cask sample. Transparent garnet. Lifted nose and relatively light on the palate. Not as convincing as some grands crus from this producer. Competent rather than thrilling. Some tannic grip on the end so it’s set for a longish life.

About the producer

Maison Roche de Bellene
Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
