The Bougros is a round, ripe and impressive wine in 2023. The nose is expressive, full of generous, peachy fruit – but there’s a steely backbone too, firmly rooting the wine in Chablis. There’s a rich but tight core of fruit at the heart of the wine, with spicy complexity and a mineral, saline finish that lasts long on the tongue.
